Two bottles of Terrazas Reserva Chardonnay: Intense, opulent and rich with ripe, figgy tropical fruit, toasty oak and hints of caramel and coffee. Powerful stuff, and not for the shy. Two bottles of Macon Lugny Blanc: a tasty white Burgundy with a really appealing fresh lemony fruit nose. The palate is crisp and precise with bright, pure fruit dominating. Lots of flavour, but in a light, crisp style. Two bottles of Pouilly Fume 'Les Charmes': Very fresh green herbal fruit on the nose. The palate is quite green and fresh, with good concentration.
